About this release
The leaders of norteño sax, La Fiera de Ojinaga, unveil their 2026 music project, a collection of 20 brand-new original songs that marks an exciting new chapter for the band. Staying true to the signature elements that have defined their career—the unmistakable blend of saxophone, accordion, and traditional norteño roots—the group introduces contemporary arrangements, melodies, and modern production touches, creating a sound that connects with a new generation of listeners while preserving the authenticity that has made them a staple of the genre. The journey begins with "Besos Pendientes" (August 7), a fresh and playful story about modern-day flirting sparked through social media before leading to an anticipated encounter. It continues with their upcoming EP, led by "Mi Intención" (October 2), a song that explores desire, temptation, and the intensity of a forbidden romance. With this new project, La Fiera de Ojinaga proves that norteño sax continues to evolve. While remaining deeply rooted in tradition, the band embraces a contemporary musical approach, delivering a fresh, dynamic sound that reinforces their position as one of the genre's leading acts and continues to shape the future of Regional Mexican music in 2026.
